AI replaces 29,800 jobs - New use case for AI Video

We have a special guest today... Will Smith!

AI is set to replace more jobs…

Jeff here! Today we’re talking about robots replacing jobs, GPT-4 with browsing, some really useful ChatGPT prompts for productivity that will cut your work day in half, and more! This newsletter features a news article that is sure to impact you eventually if you work in tech. Plus we’ve included some awesome tools and tutorials for you that you’re sure to find useful.

First, let’s talk about jobs.

IBM believes it can cut 7,800 jobs from it’s workforce and has paused hiring. This is just the tip of the iceberg regarding job disruption due to businesses transitioning to AI.

Innovation comes at a cost, and unfortunately, the cost right now is in the form of jobs.

Mastering AI has become more critical than ever.

Which is one of the reasons we created this newsletter. Humor aside, providing actionable ways for you to use AI is important, not just because it’s a cool new technology, but rather so you can learn and master the AI tools that will actually move the needle for you in your day-to-day life.

But before we dive into some valuable ways you can leverage AI in your business let’s start with a laugh.

AI Will Smith eats spaghetti

Reddit user u/chaindrop made a very disturbing yet hilarious video titled "Will Smith eating spaghetti" generated by Modelscope text2video.

AI video is a space that I’m watching very closely, and while I’m not into spaghetti as much as Will Smith is, I’m definitely into seeing how the next year is going to look for AI video. 😂

Master AI before it replaces you

29.800 jobs were replaced by AI at some of the biggest tech companies on earth. Robin @heyrobinai on Twitter broke down some useful ChatGPT productivity prompts to help “cut your work-week in half”.

My favorite prompt from this thread is definitely number 2 “Efficient Email Drafting” - Communication is an important part of life, especially in business. A really good way to use this prompt is to craft unique follow-up emails. A good time to use this prompt could be after meeting someone for the first time at an event or gathering, or maybe you just met the love of your life and for some reason only exchanged your email addresses. (Hey I’m not judging😂)

This whole thread is packed with ChatGPT prompt goodness for you to use.

“Google is in trouble” - GPT-4 with browsing!

Rowan Cheung @rowancheung on Twitter got early “Alpha” access to GPT-4 with browsing. The tests he ran were very insightful and the capabilities of it are outstanding.

One of the most useful parts of it that I found was GPT-4’s ability to understand Twitter’s open-source code and find out “How to go viral” on Twitter.

4. Analyze code from Twitter's open-sourced algorithm.

Using the Twitter algorithm code, ChatGPT can now tell you exactly how to go viral.

Prompt: "Take this code for the Twitter algorithm and tell best practices to go viral on Twitter [code]"

Actually useful AI tools & Tutorials

First up, if you create videos you know firsthand how important a good thumbnail is and how important it is to make sure it pops! This YouTube short goes over creating a YouTube thumbnail using Midjourney and Photoshop.

Use AI to create visually appealing video SOP’s, Doc’s, FAQ’s, on-boarding and more.

guidde is the generative AI platform for business that helps your team create video documentation 11x faster.”

Opinion:  Creating training materials and docs with SOP’s is very time-consuming. Having an AI that can take a video and create the entire process for me in a visually appealing way is very useful.

How Gen Furukawa used AgentGPT to automate a task that saved him hours of work

Gen Furukawa VP of Marketing at Content at Scale used AgentGPT to save himself hours of work when trying to find events that accepted speakers. The result is pretty impressive considering the time it would have taken him to manually search through each marketing event.
